May - ‘We Are Glass’ - (single)

The first of the three singles released from the chart-topping album ‘Telekon’, ‘We Are Glass’ entered the UK music charts in May 1980. The single spent 7 weeks appearing in the charts, 5 of which were positions with the UK’s Top 20. It’s highest or peak position achieved was at the No.5 spot on 31 May 1980. This single last appeared in the music charts in the chart for week commencing 05/07/1980.

June - ‘I Die: You Die’ - (single)

The second release from the 'Telekon' album was ‘I Die: You Die’ which first entered the Official Music Charts in June 1980. Reaching a peak position at No.6 on 06 September 1980, the single spent 7 weeks in the UK music charts. Five of these were Top 40 positions with two being Top 10 spots. This single last appeared in the music charts in the chart for week commencing 11/10/1980.

September - ‘Telekon’ - (album)

Following the continuing chart success for Gary Numan, the third album ‘Telekon’ was released and first appeared in the music charts in September 1980. Like the preceding album 'Replicas', Telekon also hit the top spot (No.1) on its chart debut date 13 September 1980. The album spent 11 weeks in the music charts of which 6 weeks were at Top 40 positions. This album last appeared in the music charts in the chart for week commencing 15/11/1980.

December - ‘This Wreckage’ - (single)

The third single release from the successful 'Telekon' album was ‘This Wreckage’. The single entered the Official Charts in December 1980, peaking at the No.20 position on 17 January 1981. Just like the first two single releases from the Telekon album, This Wreckage was listed in the UK music charts for 7 weeks, 6 being Top 40 appearances. This single last appeared in the music charts in the chart for week commencing 31/01/1981.
