New Man Numan: 'The Best of Gary Numan' is a compilation album released on the T.V. Records label in 1982 of songs featuring Gary Numan. The was the first compilation album to specifically feature Numan’s music. Aimed at the 1982 Christmas market, the compilation album first charted in the UK Official Music Charts on the 27 November 1982. Whilst it spent a total of 7 weeks in the music charts the compilation could only achieve a high point at No.45. This was on the charts for the week commencing 18/12/1982. The compilation album last appeared in the music charts on 08/01/1982 having spent all of its 7-week chart life listed within the Top 75 of albums.
The album ‘Outland’ entered the UK music charts on 30 March 1991 at the No.39 position. 'Replicas' was the second and final studio album by English new wave band ‘Tubeway Army’, released in April 1979 by Beggars Banquet Records. It followed their self-titled debut from the previous year. After this, Tubeway Army front man Gary Numan would continue to release records under his own name, though the musicians in Tubeway Army would continue to work with him for some time.
The album entered the charts in June 1979 (9/6/1979) and reached the No.1 position on the album charts. The No.1 spot was however not reached until 21 July 1979. The album spent 31 weeks in the charts and appeared within the UK’s Top 40 for 21 of these. This album last appeared in the music charts in the chart for week commencing 08/12/1979.
Issued as a special '40th Anniversary Edition', Numan released ‘Replicas (The First Recordings)’. As with the similar ‘The ‘Pleasure Principle’ release, the Replicas album appeared for one week in the UK music charts during the week commencing 24/10/2019 at the No.31 position in the album charts.
Sacrifice is the twelfth solo studio album by Numan and was released in October 1994 by Numa Records. The album was later released in the US in 1997 with a different title, 'Dawn', based on the comic book character Dawn. The album Sacrifice appeared in the UK music charts for a single week in the charts for week commencing 05 November 1994. The album spent its one week at the No.94 position.
After another three-year lack of music chart activity, Numan released the album ‘Savage (Songs For A Broken World)’. Entering the UK music charts on 28 September 2017, the album achieved a 5 week chart life and this ended a fallow three year period of no chart activity for Gary.
Debuting at its peak position of No. 2, the album’s first 4 week music chart life finally came to an end on 19/10/2017. The album briefly reappeared in the music charts in the charts for week commencing 08/03/2018.
Savage (Songs from a Broken World) is the eighteenth solo studio album by Numan and was released on 15 September 2017 by BMG.
After the music chart success of Numan’s album ‘Savage (Songs For A Broken World)’. A live version was released in 2018.The live version of this earlier successful 2017 album the follow up album ‘Savage (Live At The Brixton Academy)’ was released.
Entering the UK music charts on 22 November 2017 at the No.75 position the album could not achieved the same chart success as its predecessor. The album appeared in the music charts for just the one week.
