January - ‘No More Lies’ - (single)

The first single of three to make the UK music charts during 1988 was ‘No More Lies' as a collaborative release with 'Bill Sharpe'. The single entered the charts on 30 January 1988 and appeared for three weeks, all within the Top 4’ positions. Achieving its highest chart position of No.34 on 06/02/1988 the single was last listed in the music charts for 13/02/1988.

October - ‘New Anger’ - (single)

Some months passed before the success of Numan’s next charting single ‘New Anger’. Entering the UK music charts on 1 October 1988, ‘New Anger’ spent two weeks in the music charts achieving its peak position (No.46) on it chart debut date. The single was listed within the ‘Top 75’ during its short chart life and last appeared in the chart for week commencing 08/10/1988.

October - ‘Metal Rhythm’ - (album)

Numan’s album success, in terms of the UK music charts in 1988, came with the album ‘Metal Rhythm’. Entering the charts at its peak position (No.48) on the 8 October 1988, the album only appeared in the music charts for two weeks and was last listed in the 15/10/1988 music chart.

December - 'America’ - (single)

The final single to chart in 1988 was ‘America’. This single also spent only a short time in the chart listings (2 weeks). The single entered the UK music charts on 03 December 1988 at its highest position of No.49. Having spent only two weeks in the charts the single last appeared in the UK music charts for week commencing 1/12/1988.
